India’s First Zero Cement, Zero Steel Road – At Army Public School

EcoPath built a first-of-its-kind internal road at Army Public School using zero cement and zero steel. By replacing cement with GGBS and steel with FGC bars, the project significantly reduced carbon emissions and eliminated curing time—demonstrating how innovation and intent can create sustainable, future-ready infrastructure for educational spaces.

1. Introduction: Seeing More Than a Campus

When we visited Army Public School, we saw more than just a campus. We saw an opportunity—to build something meaningful, sustainable, and pioneering. An opportunity to demonstrate how infrastructure, when designed with intent, can create long-term value beyond functionality.

2. A Bold Idea: Rethinking Road Construction

Instead of following conventional practices, we proposed a road built with zero cement and zero steel—a first-of-its-kind approach in India. The objective was clear: reduce environmental impact while maintaining structural performance and durability.

3. Building Differently: Smarter Material Choices

To bring this vision to life, conventional cement was replaced with GGBS (Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag), and traditional steel reinforcement was substituted with FGC bars. This approach significantly reduced carbon emissions and eliminated the need for a curing period, enabling faster execution while maintaining environmental responsibility.

4. Taking Initiative Beyond the Brief

Driven by belief rather than obligation, we took the initiative to invest our own resources and build the road. This project was not just about delivery—it was about demonstrating what is possible when innovation is backed by conviction.

5. Infrastructure That Shapes the Future

For us, this project represented more than construction. It showed how intention-led innovation can transform everyday spaces—especially environments where the next generation walks, learns, and grows.

6. Conclusion: Building the Future, Starting Here

At EcoPath, we are proud to lead the way in responsible, future-ready infrastructure. Projects like this reaffirm our commitment to building solutions that respect the environment, challenge convention, and set new benchmarks—starting right here.
